Color Correction vs Grading

What’s the difference?

Color Correction and Color Grading are equally important in creating the final look of your shot. They are part of the two-step process!

Color Correction is step one! This step is meant to apply proper contrast, exposure, saturation, and white balance to your overall image.

Color Grading is step two, where the identity of the image is created. How your favorite movies look is all due to the grading.

If Color Correction is the skeleton, then Color Grading is the muscles and skin.
